Psychotherapy, counselling and supervision in Brixton, South London
I am an experienced UKCP registered psychotherapist and member of the BACP, abiding by both of their codes of practice.
I have been practising since 2000. My private practice is located in central Brixton, one minute's walk from Brixton tube, close to Camberwell, Herne Hill, Streatham, Clapham and Oval.
My training was at The Minster Centre in London where I received a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy, and later a Diploma in Integrative Supervision. My theoretical orientation is integrative, drawing upon psychodynamic, humanistic/existential and cognitive approaches.
I offer both long and short term work. I also offer assessments.
I am a qualified supervisor and offer clinical supervision to psychotherapists and counsellors in private practice, as well as trainees on placements.
I am trained in group facilitation and have run experiential training groups at The Minster Centre for 13 years. I have also co facilitated therapeutic groups for patients with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) at Homerton Hospital for the NHS and have Level 1 accreditation in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I have extensive experience of working with carers/families/friends of people with serious mental illness.
I have regular supervision and pursue ongoing professional and personal development.
Previously my work was in the arts. I have a degree in sculpture/3-Dimensional Design from Middlesex University and still practice as an artist.
